Camp Conference: The Church and Human Trafficking
Central Valley Justice Coalition is pleased to invite our supporters to attend Mount Hermon Conference Center’s conference entitled “The Church and Human Trafficking,”which will take place June 1-3. This three-day camping event is set in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains and is a collaborative effort to connect, encourage and equip Christ-followers in Central California who care deeply about human trafficking. The event includes four great general sessions, four seminars with multiple choices including beginning to advanced content, prevention, victim advocacy, rescue and aftercare, updates on current issues in our local area, global topics, self-care for workers, practical ways individuals and churches can be involved, a fair trade boutique and exhibit hall with resources, and recreation opportunities for relationship building and refreshment. Main speakers include Mark Labberton, a professor, author, speaker and pastor with many years of ministry experience engaging hearts and minds for social justice, and Zachary Hunt, a young activist, leader and author of the youth-oriented book “Be The Change.” Organizations involved include Bay Area Coalition for Anti-Trafficking, Out of Egypt, Salvation Army, San José Police Department,South Bay Coalition, and iSanctuary.
